A panoramic view of the city of Osaka in the dazzling dawn light
The Umeda Sky Building is the world’s first connected skyscraper consisting of two skyscrapers side by side. At the top of the skyscraper is a circular outdoor observation deck. Enjoy a 360-degree panoramic view of Umeda, the heart of Osaka, from the observation deck 173 meters above ground. Unique designs and decorations by architects such as Hiroshi Hara and Atelier Fai Architects are also highlights of the building, including a see-through escalator that crosses the building and the “Lumi Skywalk,” a rooftop corridor paved with luminescent stone that glows at night.
In addition, there is a restaurant where you can enjoy a meal with a beautiful view, and it has a reputation as a standard date spot among couples.
A futuristic observatory featuring the best of modern architecture
You can enjoy sweeping night views over the city. In 2008, the Umeda Sky Building is listed in a “Top 20 world buildings” by the British publisher Dorling Kindersley that also included the legendary Taj Mahal in India, and Spain’s Sagrada Família.
