This is a very peaceful, secret slopes and path in the middle of the city.
This slopes and path take you up and down a series of historical “slopes” and leads you through all kinds of temples and other interesting sites.
From Tanimachi 9-chome station on the Osaka subway Tanimachi-line or the Sennichimae-line : Take exit 3 and Walk through Shingon-zaka 「真言坂」 to Ikutama-shrine「生國魂神社」(350m, 4mins).
Ikutama shrine (生國魂神社)
This is the oldest shrine in Osaka. It dates back to the 5th or 6th century when it was a “first rank” imperial shrine of the first rank. The current pavilion was reconstructed in 1956.

Walk to Aizendo-shomanin temple 「愛染堂勝鬘院」 through Gensyoji-zaka「源聖寺坂」 and Kuchinawa-zaka 「口縄坂」(1.65km , 20mins).

The temple is known as the god of good matchmaking and happy marriage.

Walk down Aizen-zaka 「愛染坂」and walk up Kiyomizu-zaka 「清水坂」(350m , 4mins).
Walk down Tenjin-zaka 「天神坂」and walk to Isshinji temple 「一心寺」 through Oosaka 「逢坂」(550m , 7mins).
Isshin-ji Temple (一心寺)
The temple is famous for the Okotsubutsu 「お骨佛」, which are actually statues of the Buddha made from cremated remains. A new statue is created every decade .There are now seven Buddha statues.

Shitennouji temple (四天王寺)
Shitennouji is one of Japan’s oldest temples and the first ever to be built by the state. It was founded in 593 by Prince Shotoku, who supported the introduction of Buddhism into Japan.
