The streets of Den-den Town are closed to traffic for one of the biggest cosplay event in Japan.
The Nipponbashi Street Festa is every otaku’s dream—a vibrant festival celebrating cosplay and anime, featuring colorful cosplayers, robot performances, live music, and much more. This popular event is a must for anyone interested in Japanese pop culture. Each year, over 10,000 cosplayers from across Japan gather to showcase their creativity. Don’t forget your camera, as cosplayers are always happy to pose for photos!
The main parade starts at 12:00 PM from Ebisucho Station on the Sakaisuji Line, heading north. Visitors who just want to watch the cosplayers can enter for free. Those joining as cosplayers are required to purchase a wristband for 1,500 yen, available at designated locations in the area.

Cosplayers must use the designated changing areas to put on their costumes. Costumes will be checked before leaving to ensure compliance with Japanese public decency laws. Please complete makeup and hairstyling before arriving, as the changing areas are for costume changes only.
