A giant Mario welcomes you at the place where Nintendo was founded.
In November 2023, Nintendo opened its official store in Kyoto, the birthplace of Nintendo. Nintendo KYOTO is located on the 7th floor of Kyoto Takashimaya Store. The 740-square-meter space in Kyoto’s major department store offers more than 1,500 iconic game-themed products. Nintendo KYOTO sell game consoles, software, and character goods, and also offers game experiences and events.
Nintendo KYOTO original goods themed on “Super Mario,” “Animal Crossing,” “The Legend of Zelda,” and “Splatoon” will be available for purchase.
Several photo spots have been set up, including a giant Mario statue just under 3-meter high.
After shopping, take the escalator to the roof floor. Here you can have your photo taken with the Mario statue holding onto the goal pole!
