There are literally thousands of Buddhist temples and Shinto shrines in Kyoto. Many of them has a wealth of gardens. It’s great fun to take in the breathtaking scenery for each season. Kyoto also has a fine Botanical Gardens and a number of worthwhile public gardens and other green spaces affording residents and visitors to relax, picnic, jog,stroll and to catch Rare Pokémon.

Maruyama Park located behind Yasaka Shrine in the Gion area of Kyoto, is the most popular place for cherry blossom viewing in the city of Kyoto.  The park is a pleasant place to stroll.

Kyoto Botanical Garden is the oldest botanical garden in Japan and is blessed with over 12,000 species of plants. Kyoto Botanical Garden has both European and Japanese style gardens, and with its many cherry trees is a wonderful place in spring.

Kamo-gawa River banks

The banks of the Kamo-gawa River Banks are a favorite place for residents and visitors to relax, stroll, cycle, picnic and admire the cherry trees in season. In the evening sit down to watch the sun set before heading off. There is the Pokémon nest on the Shijo Bridge.

Seifuso Villa

Seifuso Villa is an early modern Japanese-style work of architecture built between the end of the Meiji and Taisho periods as a private residence which is currently owned by Kyoto University. It has been used for educational purposes. Japanese garden here is fabulous and you can enjoy autumn leaves in autumn.
