The biggest hydrangea garden in the Kansai area


Nukata Enchi park is one of the prefectural nature parks in Osaka near Ikoma mountain top. Visitors can enjoy viewing different kinds of landscapes and flowers. It’s a good destination for a day hike, and 20-minute walk from Ikoma sanjo amusement park. The hiking path is very easy on the legs and it is well signposted so it is simple to follow.

In the hydrangea garden, 30 kinds of 25000 hydrangea stocks bloom from mid-June to mid-July along a winding path of 1,5 km long.  Including the “Shichidanka”  which is a very rare kind of hydrangea.

“Hydrangea festival” is  held from the middle of June to the middle of July. During the festival, some food stands and cafe are open.

Access : 80-minute hike from Nukata station or Ishikiri station on the Kintetsu Nara line.  Or Take the Kintetsu Ikoma cable car line from Ikoma station on the Kintetsu Nara line to Ikoma-sanjyo station, 20-minute walk from there.
