Sakura viewing boat ride at Okazaki canal

25-minute boat cruise while celebrating spring greenery and cherry blossoms.
Okazaki canal is located just outside of Heian-jingu Shrine. The canal connects the Lake Biwa canal network with Kamogawa river. Cherry trees line the canal along Reisen street and run all the way out to Nanzen-ji Temple.

Boarding Point : Boats leave from the pier opposite Kyoto zoo on Niomon street.
Hours : The boat departs every 15 minutes from 9:30 to 16:30 pm. (cherry trees are lit up at night)
