Nijo Castle Sakura Festival

There are approximetaly 400 cherry trees of late blooming varieties in a cherry orchard. The special night illumination is on during the bloom.

Entoku-in Spring illumination

Entoku-in, a sub-temple of Kodai-ji Temple, located along the Nene no michi street. The garden in the North Shoin is illuminated.

Omihachiman fire festival/ Sagicho Matsuri

Sagicho Matsuri, a figure of the animal of the year according to the Zodiac, made with marine products and grain, is mounted in the center of this float.

To-ji Temple Spring Illumination

Kyoto’s landmark, The five story pagoda at To-ji Temple is lit up with Cherry blossom. Easy access from JR Kyoto station.

Sakura viewing boat ride at Okazaki canal

Okazaki canal is located just outside of Heian-jingu Shrine. Cherry trees line the canal along Reisen street and run all the way out to Nanzen-ji Temple.

Gion Shirakawa Sakura Lit up

Cherry blossoms lined on the Gion Shirakawa dori, one of the Kyoto's iconic street will be lit up to create a fantastic atmospere.

Kiyomizu-dera Spring Illumination
