Kibune Autumn leaves lantern Festa/ Kyoto
Kibune Autumn leaves lantern Festa/ Kyoto
November 7 – November 24
Located between Ichihara and Ninose stations on the Eizan Railway, the famous “Maple Tunnel” is just a 20-minute train ride from Demachiyanagi Station. This scenic stretch is lined with maple trees that burst into brilliant autumn colors and are illuminated at night, creating a breathtaking view from the train windows.
During the autumn season, nearby Kibune Shrine is also illuminated. The area’s autumn foliage often reaches its peak earlier than in central Kyoto, while traditional lanterns glowing along the shrine’s approach add a magical touch to the tranquil mountain scenery.
