Hirakata City has hosted a major fireworks festival since 1956, when it was the second-largest fireworks event in Osaka Prefecture.
From 1976 to 2003, the event was held annually as the Kurawanka Fireworks Festival. Beloved by local residents and fondly remembered over the years, the festival has been revived as the Suito Kurawanka Fireworks Festival.
The festival launches as many fireworks as the number of children born in Hirakata and Takatsuki cities, expressing hopes for the healthy growth of the children and the continued development and prosperity of the region.

Takatsuki Site : Otsuka, Takatsuki, Osaka 569-0000
Access : Keihan Bus from JR or Hankyu Takatsuki station, get off at Hirakata-Ohashi-Kitazume.
