Over 2,500 wind chimes—one of the most iconic symbols of Japanese summer—are hung throughout the grounds of Ofusa Kannon Temple. Their gentle, soothing sounds carried by the summer breeze create a refreshing atmosphere that helps visitors forget the heat and enjoy a moment of cool tranquility.
Wind chimes from this temple are also available for purchase and are loved by people across Japan as a way to bring a touch of summer serenity home.
