Osaka’s symbolic street, Midosuji, is illuminated with colorful lights along a stretch of about 4 kilometers, from Yodoyabashi to Namba. This illumination is part of the Osaka Festival of the Lights, during which a variety of programs are held, including illuminated boat cruises, a fountain display at the Okawa River port, and music-and-light shows.
