Gojo-zaka Toki Matsuri (Gojozaka Pottery Festival), the biggest pottery market in Kyoto is held on Gojo-dori street during summer. Various types of potteries are sold at discounted price at over 500 open stalls.  You can find famous Japanese potteries such as Kiyomizu(Kyoto-style pottery), Arita, Karatsu, Shigaraki and others.
