Held every summer along Gojo-dori Street, the Gojo-zaka Toki Matsuri (Gojozaka Pottery Festival) stands as Kyoto’s premier ceramic market. Across more than 500 vibrant open-air stalls, artisans and merchants offer a vast array of Japanese pottery at exceptional prices. It’s an indispensable destination for collectors and travelers alike, featuring iconic local styles like Kiyomizu-yaki alongside celebrated regional crafts such as Arita, Karatsu, and Shigaraki.
