DESCRIPTION:The Fujinomori Matsuri (藤森祭) is held annually from May 1 to May 5 at Fujinomori Shrine. During the festival\, the shrine grounds come alive with lively food stalls\, traditional mikoshi (portable shrines) processions\, powerful Japanese drum performances\, and a vibrant samurai parade. \n\n\n\nThe highlight of the festival is the “kakeuma-shinji\,” an acrobatic horseback riding ritual with over 1\,200 years of history.
