SUMMARY:Iwashimizusai festival
DESCRIPTION:This is one of the three major religious festivals held under Imperial tradition in Japan. Set on a peaceful hillside\, Iwashimizu Hachimangu Shrine preserves ancient rituals and ceremonies carried out according to traditional protocols. \n\n\n\nBefore dawn\, around 500 participants dressed in ceremonial attire and carrying paper lanterns depart from the main shrine and make their way to the subsidiary shrine\, known as the Tōgū. There\, a series of sacred ceremonies take place. DESCRIPTION:The Kushi Matsuri (Comb Festival) at Yasui Konpiragu Shrine features a colorful parade of around 45 women\, each wearing hairstyles and traditional clothing representing different eras from ancient times to the present day.
